Obituary for Valeria Shisila

Valeria (nee Govze) Shisila, age 96, passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2019.
She was born May 21, 1923.
Her husband of 45 years, Charles Shisila, passed away Dec. 1, 1992. They were wed April 26, 1947. Valeria’s sister, Carrie Siska; and brother, John Govze are also deceased, and her beloved Shelties, Tiffy, Taffy, Ginger, Cookie, Coco, Pebbles and beagle Corky are deceased and with her now.
Valeria was a longtime resident of Euclid and parishioner of St. Christine’s Parish for over 60 years. Valeria loved being around her children, grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and her beloved six Shelties!! Her family was her life. She was the most unselfish, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Valeria always thought of others before herself. She loved to Polka with her niece, Karen Siska, bake potica and strudel, and cook roast beef and breaded chicken. She was told by all that it was the best that anyone has ever had (and it was)! Valeria will be forever missed and loved.
Valeria leaves behind her large family who she loved deeply including her daughter, Nancy (Mike) Spelich; sons, Mark (Debbie) Shisila, Donald (Sherry) Shisila, and Richard (Karen) Shisila; grandchildren, Natalie Spelich Faraguna (Nick Ban), Carrie Spelich, Jamie (Troy) Zigman, Marci (Mike) Gedeon, Tracie Kacir (Justin Bellini), Kelly (Jeff) Novy, David (Tamara) Shisila, Mary Shisila, Colleen (Brian) McHugh, Becky (Dozie) Ononye, Sarah (Jacob) Powers, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Shisila, Ashley (Andrew) Bales; and 28 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gage, Isabella, Blake, Tatum, Guiliana, Alyssa, Michael, Ryan, Kyle, Tyler, Emily, Megan, Brady, Alex, Dan, Maya, Kian, Kylan, Declan, Lachlan, Alena, Dozie, Gabriel, Manny, Nolan, Lucille, and Braxton.
