Obituary

Graveside services for Wayne G. Remner, 71, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the cemetery).
After two years, he finally lost his battle to cancer. He passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, peacefully and comfortably surrounded by family.
Wayne was born March 14, 1947 in Cleveland.
He was a kind and generous man who loved his family and country. He will be missed by all those who loved him and knew him. He was a true patriot and sports car enthusiast. Wayne was a U.S. Navy veteran, who served two tours of duty in Vietnam serving alongside the Admiral of the 7th Fleet, performing special operations in communications. After serving his country, the CIA tried to recruit him.
His beloved wife, Diane, of 20 years was his soul mate. She passed in 2017, and he especially enjoyed going to the casinos with her.
Mr. Remner was a long-time employee of Medical Mutual, serving as an Infrastructure Engineer, where he specialized in storage, disaster recovery, and mainframe operations. Wayne retired from there in 2018. Prior to that, he worked for Antares and BP for many years.
He was the loving father of Allen J. Delly (Angie) and Karen D. (George) Hadden; dear brother of Craig, Keith, and Gary.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street (Rt. 615 N. of Rt. 2), Mentor.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of his name are suggested to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Oh 44110. To leave condolences for the family or participate in the Memorial Tree Program visit www.MCVfuneralhomes.com.

To the family and friends of Wayne Remner, I am very sorry for your loss. During these difficult times God tells us that we can turn to him because he is the God of all comfort.
2 Corinthians 1:3,4 which says “Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God.”

I am so very sorry to here about the loss of your dear loved one. Please allow me to express my deepest sympathies to the family of Wayne Remner. May the thoughts expressed at Revelation 21:4 be of some comfort to your heart, and mind. It reassures us that soon "God will soon wipe out every tear for ones eyes and death will be no more..neither will mourning nor outcry..nor pain...that promise will open the way for the meek, and righteous to live on the Earth
Psalm 37:11,29
