Joseph J. Poliafico, 78, of Painesville Twp., passed away Feb. 26, 2019 at his daughter’s residence in Eastlake.
Born Sep. 15, 1940, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 12 years, previously living in Orlando and New Port Richey, Fla., before moving to Painesville Twp.
He enjoyed boxing, cars, motorcycles, fishing, and gambling.
Joseph was the loving father of Judith O. (Kevin) Mullen; cherished grandfather of Kevin (Gina) Mullen, Delores (Jason) O’Neill, and Erin Mullen; and great-grandfather of Cameron Mullen and Leigh O’Neill.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy R. Poliafico (2012); parents, Salvatore and Judith (nee Lascko) Poliafico; and brother, Dominic Poliafico.
Family will receive friends from 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street (Rt. 615, N. of Rt. 2), Mentor, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be held 11 am Monday at All Saints Cemetery, 480 W. Highland Road, Northfield. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at the cemetery main gate at 11 a.m.).
