Funeral Services for Jeannette (nee McDonald) Wakeley, 81, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, North of Route 2), Mentor.
Jeannette passed away March 11, 2019, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born October 16, 1937, in Cleveland, she had been a Lake County resident for 51 years, living in Mentor.
Jeanette loved making flower arrangements.
She was the loving mother of Shari L. (Ronald) Abrahamsen, Kathy A. Tekancic, and Cindy J. (Tom) Jenkins; cherished grandmother of Kayleigh (Brian) Wilson, Nicholas Tekancic, Anthony Jenkins, Kristi Abrahamsen, Kariann Abrahamsen, Kevin Tekancic and Morgan Jenkins; great-grandmother of Hailie, Brian Jr., Kamryn and Grace; sister of William (Shirley) McDonald; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was preceded in death by her beloved husband John R. Wakeley (1988); son-in-law, Nick Tekancic; and parents, Stanley and Clyde McDonald.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mentor Cemetery.
