Norman J. Reed, 73, of Willowick, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019, at his residence in Willowick.
Born June 1, 1945, in Cleveland, he previously lived in Gates Mills before moving to Lake County over 35 years ago.
Norman was a U.S. Navy veteran and a Deputy Sheriff in Lake County who also served with the Willoughby Police Department and Willoughby Hills Police Department. He loved his dog, “Rascal.”
He was the stepfather of David J. (Melissa) Koshar and Daniel J. Koshar; step grandfather of Kennedy and Kaitlyn; brother of Barbara Myers, Peggy Kopp, and Julie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Norman was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna M. (nee Brewer) Reed; parents, Norman J. and Lillian (nee Cipriani) Reed; and brother-in-law, Bud Myers and Al Kopp.
Private services were held.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Norman. Isaiah 61:1, 2 says, "The spirit of...Jehovah is upon me...to bind up the brokenhearted...To comfort all who mourn." How reassuring it is to know that God is with us during times of all difficulties, especially those who have suffered a loss, and will bring us much comfort.
