Obituary for Nicole Wilson-Gonzalez

Nicole Wilson-Gonzalez of Odessa Texas, passed away peacefully the afternoon of April 16, 2019, in hospice at Medical Center Hospital.
Nicole was the mother of Isabel (15), Guillermo (14), Sophia (7), and birth mother to Alejandro Matteo aka Weston G. (3) of Odessa.
Growing up most of her life in Willoughby, she led an active life. Nicole delivered the News-Herald door to door, and was a Girl Scout in Troop 293. In the summer, she played softball and umpired for Willoughby Baseball League. Her First Holy Communion and Confirmation were made at Immaculate Conception Parish, where she attended PSR classes. A 2002 graduate of Willoughby South High, she played flute in the South Marching Band and oboe in the symphonic orchestra.
She moved to Texas 11 years ago and suffered some very difficult times with her health; but somehow managed to push through in the most difficult times. Nicole's love for children, animals and the elderly could only be surpassed by the giving of her time and generosity to others.
Nicole is survived by her parents, Howard “Vence” and Debbie; along with her siblings Melissa (George) Burke, Vincent and Anthony; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many who called her their "Best Friend," along the journey of life.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral Mass 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens, 38650 Lakeshore Blvd., (¼ mile east of Lost Nation Road).
Arrangement are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes of Willoughby and Mentor.
