Obituary for Bernice M. Batdorf
Bernice M. Batdorf, 84, of Willoughby, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019, at Kensington at Anna Maria of Aurora.
She was born September 4, 1934, in New Lexington.
Bernice enjoyed sports, especially the Cleveland Indians. But most of all, she enjoyed her beloved dog, Pete.
She was the beloved mother of Linda M. (Ronald) Beltowski and Gary L. Batdorf; cherished grandmother of Melinda M. (Paul) Schweikert and Melissa L. Zahorsky (James Stansbury); great-grandmother of Eric, Austin, Kenton, Kain and Leigha; sister of Milford Batdorf, Francis (Caroline) Batdorf, Gilbert (Judy) Batdorf, and Lenore Jean (Andrew) Krotosky; aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lena Mae (nee Edwards) Batdorf; siblings, John Batdorf, Donald Batdorf, Clifford Batdorf, Forest Batdorf, Vernon Batdorf, Norma Batdorf, and Kenton Batdorf.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, where a Celebration of Life Service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
