Obituary for Donald E Holt
Private services were held for Donald E. Holt, 81, of Fairport Harbor.
Mr. Holt passed away Monday, July 1, 2019, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born July 11, 1937, in Mentor-on-the-Lake, he had been a resident of Fairport Harbor for 14 years.
Donald was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a Naval Aviator. He was a member of Painesville American Legion Post 336, loved drag racing at Thompson Speedway, raced motocross as a member of “Team Suzuki,” enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a “great ball buster.”
Don was the loving father of Donald E. Holt II; and cherished grandfather of Makinzie Lynn Holt and Mark Baker. He also leaves his loving dog, “Clancy.”
He was preceded in death by his grandson, David Raymond Baker; parents, Raymond and Mary Holt; and former wife, Joyce Ann Tomlinson.
