Obituary for Josephine S Black

Funeral Mass for Josephine S. (nee Nocera) Black, 84, of Euclid, will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Mrs. Black passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born April 26, 1935, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Euclid.
Josephine loved to bake and cook. She also enjoyed being with her family, children and grandchildren.
She was the loving mother of Howard E. Black, Brenda G. (Nick) Gilan and Tina M. Black (Robert Smith); cherished grandmother of Nikko Gilan (Amanda Medlen), and Anthony Gilan (Jessica Addleman); and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Josephine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard N. Black (1997); parents, Joseph J. and Marie Angela (nee Passalaqua) Nocera; and siblings, Carmela (Eddie, dec.) Uroic, Carmen (Hilda, dec.) Nocera, John (Ann, dec.) Nocera, Annette Nichols, and twin sister Brenda Nocera.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
