Obituary for Betty E. Doran

Betty E. Doran
The Doran clan and extended family has a new guardian angel watching over them. “Betty E. Doran, 97, left us June 8, 2019. We know that her loving husband met her at Heavens gates with his arms wide open to welcome her home. While she leaves a gap here on earth with the family she leaves behind, we take comfort in the fact that she is back in his loving arms.”
Betty leaves behind five children: sons, Joseph, James and Scott and daughters, Donna and Debbie; as well as the respective spouses, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has also left behind numerous children of the heart-those that were welcomed in to her life, home and heart. She taught all of her children the value of compassion, hard work and strength by living those qualities on a daily basis.
Betty is joining in Heaven, her husband and love of her life, Donald Doran. Together the two of them had 72 years of marriage here on earth, but a love story that went far longer than that and can now be continued uninterrupted. Their adventures were numerous, their compassion knew no bounds and they lived their lives as a team. Now the team is back together again, and may the “Pearly Gates” still be standing when we join them.
“God speed Betty. We will miss you desperately, but are glad that you are where you need to be.”
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, North of Route 2), in Mentor, where a prayer service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Painesville.
