Peggy Lue Lawson
Funeral services for Peggy Lue (nee Judy) Lawson, 75, of Mentor, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Victory Lane Assembly of God, 7550 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Rev. David M. Bill and Rev. James Porostosky will officiate.
Mrs. Lawson passed away Friday, August 9, 2019, at her residence.
Born March 29, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., she lived in Redcreek, W.Va., before moving to Lake County 68 years ago.
She was a faithful, longtime member of Lakeshore Assembly of God and Victory Lane Assembly of God, and a follower of Christ, who prayed for her family and future generations. She loved gardening, flowers, birds, gospel, bluegrass, and had volunteered at nursing homes. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.
She was the loving mother of Michael A. (Sandy) Leonard of Mentor, Sandra K. (Robert) Sidley of Painesville, and Misty L. (Eric) McFarland of Perry; cherished grandmother of Christine, Erin, Cassandra, Caitlin, Jennifer, Robert Lee, and Lee; great-grandmother of Lydia and Remme; sister of Jack (Kitty) Judy and Bonnie (Bob) Humphreys; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee M. Lawson (Jan. 9, 2004); and her parents, Garmon and Helen (nee Wratchford) Judy.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Victory Lane Assembly of God. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
