Private family services will be held for John J. Thorsky, 78, of Willoughby.
Mr. Thorsky passed away Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born May 13, 1941, in Johnstown, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 47 years.
John loved camping, music, and dancing, but most of all he enjoyed his time at Holiday Camplands and be with his family.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Sandra J. (nee Gillespie) Thorsky; loving father of Betsy Thorsky, Melissa (Michael) Kordic and Dawn (John) Maurins; cherished grandfather of Nicole, Alesha, Brittany, Olivia, Johnny and Lexi; great-grandfather of Jayden, Amelia and Kellan; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dog, Mabel.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jennie Marie (nee Steele) Thorsky; and brothers, Frank and Donald.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
