Obituary for Norine L Ensign

Norine L. (nee Crookshanks) Ensign, 89, of Chardon, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, at her residence.
Born Aug. 20, 1930, in Kirtland, she had lived in Mentor before moving to Chardon.
Norine was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church, was a member of the Mad Hatters Canoe Club, an active Girl Scout Leader, and enjoyed puzzles.
She had worked as an operator at Ohio Bell and as a waitress at Friendly's and Mary Yoders.
Norine was the loving wife of 70 years to Richard W. Ensign; loving mother of Linda J. Ensign (Lanny Stone), Victoria L. (Richard) Kuhn, and Janice L. Ensign (Michael Case); cherished grandmother of Jennifer E. (Adam) Desrosiers, Richard J. Kuhn (Brittaney Lanese), and Tina (Don) Theunnissen; great-grandmother of Julian Desrosiers and Levi Kuhn; sister of Vern (Claudia) Crookshanks and Vivien (Lester) Tinner;sister-in-law of Loretta Crookshanks; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Howard and Eva Coleta (nee Rose) Crookshanks; and siblings, Jean (Andrew, dec.) Williamson, Neil (Adelle, dec.) Crookshanks, and Wayne Crookshanks.
Private family services were held. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
