Obituary for Jodie Palmer Hayden

Jodie Palmer Hayden, 47, of Twinsburg, passed away Sept. 22, 2019.
She was born Feb. 2, 1972, in Cleveland.
Jodie was a 1990 graduate of Twinsburg High School and a 1994 graduate of John Carroll University. She was one bad “boopy” wife, a mother, sister and friend, who had an infectious laugh and smile, was courageous and strong with a soul that shined. As a 15-year stage 4 cancer survivor, she never let it define her or sway her from life’s adventures. Jodie was a wrestling/football mom, was a Boy Scouts “Mother Nature,” enjoyed the beach, nature, her dogs, family and friends. She especially enjoyed porch time and her pond with Koi fish. Jodie was a lover of music, CONCERTS and theatre. She provided an art scholarship to local high school graduates in honor of her mother, Ellen Palmer.
Jodie was the beloved wife of Jim Hayden; loving mother of Tim (25), and Dean (22); and sister of Deanne (Danny), Kristina (Derek) and Eddie. She also leaves her 4-legged child, Luke the Dingle Doggy (9); and grand-dog, Dina (2). Her 4-legged babies, Angus the Goose (11); and childhood cat, Noodle (19), have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Ellen (nee Mackey) Palmer; and brother, Larry.
A Celebration of Life and open house will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at Centerville Mills Dining Hall, (Bainbridge) 8558 Crackel Road, Chagrin Falls, 44023, one of Jodie’s favorite childhood locations. It will be a tie-dyed or Hawaiian shirt, potluck style party.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Gathering Place (support of cancer patients and their families), at www.touchedbycancer.org or to Rescue Village Humane Society at www.rescuevillage.org.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
