Obituary for Samantha Carol Watters
Samantha Carol Watters, 25, of Painesville, passed away Nov. 26, 2019.
Born Dec. 6, 1993, in Okinawa, Japan, she had lived in Hampstead, N.C., before moving to Painesville three years ago.
Samantha was a born in Okinawa, Japan at Camp Lester Naval Hospital to proud parents who were both U.S. Marines. Samantha moved to the states as a baby and grew into a beautiful, fun-loving, creative, artistic and intelligent young woman, graduating in 2012 with honors and over a 4.0 GPA from Topsail High School in Hampstead, N.C. She was a member of the Junior Honor Society, National Honor Society, Health Occupations Students of America, a pharmacy technician intern and a certified nursing assistant intern in high school.
Samantha had a passion for helping others and cared for residents of Governor’s Pointe Assisted Living, where she worked as a nurse’s aide. She began pursuing a career in nursing at Willoughby-Eastlake School of Practical Nursing in Eastlake, while working two part-time waitressing jobs at Steak and Shake and Sussex Seafood and Grille. Samantha enjoyed many summers in Parkersburg, Iowa at her grandma’s farm, swimming and going to the library. She also enjoyed painting and drawing, animals especially horses, cats and her dog, Bear. “Mom and Dad love you THIS MUCH Boo Boo.”
She was the dear daughter of Kraig Phillip Wolf of Painesville and Cathleen Mavis Watters of Des Moines, Iowa; granddaughter of Carol Esther Bode (Watters); niece of Charles (Wendy, nee Galpin) Watters of Huxley, Iowa, Paul Watters of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Peter Watters of Cedar Falls, Iowa; great-niece of Marjorie (nee Galpin) Bode; and cousin of Jesse Watters and Crystal Watters, both of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Kennedy Watters and Lilly Watters, both of Huxley, Iowa.
A private family memorial will be held. A memorial service in Iowa will be held at a later date.
