Obituary for David P Kelly
Funeral Mass for David P. Kelly, 36, of Cleveland Heights, will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor. Father Tom Johns will officiate the Mass.
Mr. Kelly passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Jan. 21, 1984, in Euclid, he grew up in Eastlake and Mentor before moving to Cleveland Heights 10 years ago.
Dave loved Cleveland sports and the University of Michigan football. He also enjoyed and loved technology and attending concerts.
He was a member of AmeriCorps NCCC, and worked for Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.
Dave was the beloved husband of nine years to Kristen M. (nee Cano) Kelly; loving father of Patrick D. Kelly; dear son of David E. and Patricia L. (nee Ledger) Kelly; brother of Ryan J. (Natalie) Kelly; son-in-law of Patricia (John) Buhrman; brother-in-law of Antonio “T.J.” Cano Jr., Jack Buhrman, Michelle Hogan (Bryan Grau), Adrienne (Mathew) Swinney, Tonya (Kyle) Espy, and Lucy Buhrman; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in the name of Dave Kelly may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland.
