Obituary for Elvin Leon "Lee" Cooper

Elvin “Lee” Leon Cooper, 55, of Painesville Township, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, at his residence.
Born Aug. 13, 1964, in Hinton, W.Va., he had lived in Painesville Township for the past five years.
He was a loving and caring man to everybody. Lee would’ve given his last dollar, last meal or the shirt off of his back if you needed it. He was an amazing dog dad to his two dogs, Taz and Polo. Lee was a sheet metal roofer for many years and a jack-of-all-trades. He could fix everything you needed him too, no matter what it was he knew a way to fix it! He taught his son, Tyler, everything he knows today. He started teaching him at a very young age and Tyler is very thankful to have had a dad to teach him what he knows. Lee was also a very funny man and always knew how to make you laugh. He will be remembered by his smartness, kindness, funny and most of all his loving character.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Lewis Cooper; mother, Alice Kay Cooper; and brother, Gregory Lewis Cooper.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 29 years, Kimberly Jean (nee Peters) Cooper of Painesville Township; loving children, Tyler Charles Cooper of Euclid, Kayla Jean (Kyle) Rossel of Newbury, and Amber Dawn Cooper (Kyle) of Painesville Township; cherished grandchildren, Skyler, Kyle Rossel Jr., and Bradley Leon Jackson; and siblings, Nancy McGlone, Beverly Balengee and Christopher Eric Cooper. He was also an uncle and friend of many.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life to be held at 4 p.m.
