Funeral Mass for Maureen A. (nee McDonnell) Antonick, 77, of Euclid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 19951 Lakeshore Blvd., Euclid. (Family and friends are asked to please meet at church.)
Maureen passed away peacefully Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Mapleridge Assisted Living in Willoughby. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Mapleridge for their loving care and support.
Born Dec. 15, 1942, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime resident of Euclid.
Maureen had worked at Mazzulo’s in South Euclid and then later retired from Heinen’s in Mayfield Village, as a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 880.
She was proud of her Irish heritage, was an avid reader, loved animals, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Maureen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Maureen was the loving mother of Kim (Ron) Styles, Denise (Chris) Grant, Danette Scott, and Ron (Cristine) Antonick; cherished grandmother of Antonio, Heather, Gregory, Kevin, Nicholas, and Vito; great-grandmother of Aubri, Antonio, Emerson and Finley; sister of Dennis (Kate) McDonnell; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Jenkins and Donald McDonnell; and brothers, Terrence McDonnell and Brian McDonnell.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her name be made to Euclid Pet Pals, c/o Euclid Animal Shelter, 25100 Lakeland Blvd., Euclid, OH 44132.
