Obituary for Shaun Michael Eshelman Jr.

Shaun Michael Eshelman Jr., age 38, passed away at his residence Monday, March 16, 2020, in Painesville.
He was born May 15, 1981, in Euclid.
Shaun attended General McLane High School and went on to graduate from Union City High School in 1999. Throughout school, he was involved in wrestling and was an all-conference football player.
Mr. Eshelman was the successful business owner of Eshelman Equipment, Mastiff Metals and St. Bernard Trailers.
Shaun was very hardworking, goal-oriented, dedicated, and had a sarcastic sense of humor. Shaun had a big influence on the community, always tried to help others and was loved by many people. He was a lifelong fan of all Cleveland sports teams, played co-ed softball in Eastlake and Mentor, and participated in a bowling league. He also sponsored local softball team, Wizards Fastpitch. He enjoyed going to country concerts, gambling at the casinos (and winning), four- wheeling, playing pool, eating the hottest wings possible, attending trivia nights on Fridays at Quaker Steak and loved Rhino, his St. Bernard, dearly.
Shaun was the beloved son of Shaun “Mike” Eshelman Sr. and Carla (Galford) Higham; step-son of Dave Higham; brother of Hailey J. Higham and Kara G. Higham; maternal grandson of John P. Galford and Charlotte M. Majerik; paternal grandson of Susie Eshelman and the late David Eshelman; nephew of Lisa Eshelman Reilly (Frank), Sharise Eshelman Semick (Dave, dec.), Desiree Eshelman Spang, Shannon Eshelman (Lisa Larned McLaughlin), Craig Galford, Ed Majerik, Elissa Vavpetic and Tim Galford; and many cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at later date due to COVID-19. Specifics will be determined and announced later.
Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.
