Obituary for Barbara French Gebeau

Barbara French Gebeau, age 57, of Mentor, died peacefully Sunday, June 7, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. Barb bravely and gracefully fought a long hard battle with Glioblastoma brain tumor cancer. She was our superwoman.
Barb was born Oct. 30, 1962, in Cleveland.
She graduated from Mentor High School in 1980, and worked for many years as a supervisor at Apsco Inc. in Perry, and Corduroy’s Pizza in the Mentor Headlands. She was a loving caretaker of her father and sister in their time of need.
Barb married Cheryl Gebeau Oct. 10, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time and cooking for her family and friends. She was funny, loving, and always up for a good joke or a prank. “We will all miss her laugh and her beautiful smile.” Barb loved her many feather and fur babies.
Barb is survived by her devoted wife, Cheryl Gebeau; her sons, Tyler and Clinton Gibson; sister, Rose (Brian) Wittkamp; sister-in-law, Kim Gebeau; mother-in-law, Ruth Gebeau; nieces and nephews, Phillip (Amanda) French, Jennifer (Tommy) Kvoriak, Braeden Schindly; great-niece and nephew, Colin and Raegan Kvoriak.
