Wayne M. Flood, 70, of Eastlake, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020, at his residence in Eastlake.
Born June 16, 1950, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime Lake County resident.
Wayne was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He loved his family and traveling.
Wayne was the beloved husband of 47 years to Cindy A. (nee Brewer) Flood; loving father of Chrissy A. Flood and Matthew W. Flood; cherished grandfather of Nickolus, Makayla, Alycia Jaxon, and Eliana (due in October); great-grandfather of Giovanni; brother of Dale Flood, Cindy Stabb, and Yvonne Andrews; brother-in-law of Richard Brewer, Jan McCurdy, Karen Cain and Shannon Luebking; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherrill and Gertrude (nee Pufholz) Flood; and sister, Karen Flood.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38001 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service with military honors to be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
