Obituary for Mary Jane Hinton
Mary Jane “MJ” Hinton, 81, passed away May 1, 2017, in her home at Gateway Family House in Euclid.
A longtime Willoughby resident, MJ was born Dec. 27, 1935, in Avella, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Harriet (nee DiMarco) DuBois.
A loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother and aunt, MJ is survived by her brother, Roger DuBois; sons, Samuel (Karen) Hinton, Stephen (Laurie) Hinton, and Scott Hinton; daughter, Susan (Mark) Gerber; daughter-in-law, Lisa Hinton; as well as nephews, Douglas and Luke DuBois and nieces, Beth DuBois and Lise and Spencer Krywy. “Grandma Mary” loved her seven grandchildren, Shaun (Bethany) Soeder, Cory (Amanda) Hinton, Lynnea (Ryan) Jodway, Savannah Hinton, Emily and Andy Hinton and Lucy Hinton; and great-grandchildren, Kai and Balin Soeder and Milena Jodway.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name be made to the Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Bldg. E, Mentor, OH 44060, or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Lake County, One Victoria Square, Suite 260, Painesville, OH 44077.
