Funeral services for Bruno J. Novak, 83, of Mentor, will be 12 Noon Friday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Fr. Tom Elsasser will officiate.
Mr. Novak passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Sept. 17, 1933, in Lakewood, he had been a Lake County resident for 60 years, living in Wickliffe before moving to Mentor in 1968.
He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 38. Bruno loved golf and bowling and also enjoyed traveling, gardening and bird watching.
He was the cherished father of Karen J. Novak and Bruce A. Novak (Joanne Morgan); loving grandfather of Kristeen J. Novak and Steven R. (Megan) Niro; great-grandfather of Arabella Jackson and Abbygail Jackson; brother of Walter Novak Jr., and Rosie (Jerry) Cohen; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Bruno was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce L. (nee Monroe) Novak; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Niro; parents, Walter and Theodora (nee Kucaj) Novak; and sister-in-law, Marge Novak.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
