Obituary for Raymond P. Knott

Raymond P.  Knott
Funeral services for Raymond P. Knott, 78, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Church, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor. Pastor Tim Potter will officiate.
Mr. Knott passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center-Wade Park.
Born July 19, 1936, he had lived in Altoona, Pa., before moving to Lake County 48 years ago, living in Willoughby.
Raymond was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Willoughby Moose Lodge, loved sports, was a hardcore Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and for many years, coached football and baseball in the Willoughby City Leagues. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing and hunting.
Mr. Knott retired from PMC Industries in 1998, after 31 years of service.
He was the loving father of David (Kim) Knott, Tim (Sharen) Knott and Angela (Tom) Tutolo; cherished grandfather of Gailann, Timothy, Hollie, Jonathan, Brandon, Cameron, Devon, Aaron, Ethan, Tommy, Sophia and Isabel; brother-in-law of Linda Knott; uncle of nieces and nephews; and also survived by Evelyn (nee Papas) Knott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ethel (nee Stevens) Knott; and siblings, Frank (Ruth) Knott and Don Knott.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), Willoughby. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made in care of the family.
