Obituary for Christine A Channell (Shane)
Funeral services for Christine A. (nee Shane) Channell, 64, of Mentor, will be 11 a.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
Mrs. Channell passed away April 13, 2015, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born Sept. 12, 1950, in Cleveland, she had been a lifetime Lake County resident, living in Willowick and Willoughby before moving to Mentor.
Her grandchildren were very special to her. Christine loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a “Die Hard Fan.”
She was the beloved wife of 18 years to Randall D. Channell; loving mother of John W. Krupa and Karly M. Bailey; stepmother of Heather M. Channell and Thomas A. (Heather) Channell; cherished grandmother of Jake Bailey and Jenna Bailey; loving daughter of Abina (nee Golembieski) Shane and the late Stanley Shane; sister of Ken (Laurie) Shane; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
