Obituary for Wilma E Fidel
Celebration of Life services for Wilma E. (nee Thiel) Fidel, 83, of Mentor, will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave., (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), Willoughby. Pastor Mike Currier will officiate.
Mrs. Fidel passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Kindred Stratford Commons in Glenwillow.
Born Nov. 19, 1932, in Jefferson, she had been a Lake County resident for more than 20 years, living in Mentor.
Wilma was a volunteer for Women’s shelters.
She was the loving mother David A. (Barbara) Fidel of Medina, Christopher L. (Emiko) Fidel of Nagoya, Japan, and Susan (Allan) Fidel Mackovjak of Willoughby; cherished grandmother of Joshua, Andrew, Benjamin, Sean, Vicky, Alex, Emily and Alex; great-grandmother of Brian, Helena, Darren, Liam, Archer and Dylan; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank J. Fidel in 1989; parents, Harold and Dora (nee Yockey) Thiel; and sister, Betty Ringer.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110, or Lake Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060.
