Obituary for Betty A Juka
Funeral Mass for Betty A. (nee LaGrange) Juka, 78, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be 12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Fr. Tim Plavac will officiate the Mass.
Mrs. Juka passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland.
Born July 17, 1937, in Gray, La., she had been a Lake County resident for the past 38 years.
Betty was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor, where she was a volunteer in the food pantry of the church. She was also a member of the Red Hatters and a former member of the Christ Child Society. Betty was active at CURVES, enjoyed and loved to travel.
She was the loving mother of Gretchen A. (Dan) Ryan, Rachel M. Sherman (Al Lewry), David M. Juka and Timothy P. (Monica) Juka; cherished grandmother of Kellie (Max), Bryan (Tristain), James, Kevin (Alex), Kate, Gabrielle, Maisey, Damien and Mason; great-grandmother of Breana, Jake, Grayson and Jackson; sister of Patricia Diez; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitmel and Velma (nee Daigle) LaGrange; and sister, Bonnie Harrison.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
