Funeral Mass for Edward R. Bryndal, 88, of Willoughby, will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Tim Kalista will officiate the Mass.
Mr. Bryndal passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, at the Slovene Home for the Aged in Cleveland.
Born May 30, 1927, in Cleveland, he had lived there before moving to Lake County 62 years ago, living in Willoughby.
He was a member of Catholic War Veterans John Paul II Post 1959 and Palmer Roberts American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby. As a World War II veteran, Ed was proud to have participated in two Honor Flights to Washington, D.C., with fellow veterans. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife, was an avid golfer and loved to dance.
Mr. Bryndal owned his own business called Professional Sales working as a manufacturer’s representative. He was proud to have his son, Jeff, join him and take ownership upon his retirement.
He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Mary Louise (nee Reminder) Bryndal; loving father of Jim (Pam) Bryndal, Jerry (MaryAnne) Bryndal, Jeff (Julie) Bryndal, Joanne (Dick) Thomas, Joel (Bianka) Bryndal, Janice (Tom) Silvaroli and John (Emi) Bryndal; cherished grandfather of Jocelyn, Natalie, Rory, Clay, Rebecca, Anna Christine, Ross, Pamela, Kyle, Kate, Anna, Anthony, Brian, Andrew, Amy, Steven, Josie, Joshua, Daniel, Yuki, Ray, Sarah and Noah; great-grandfather of Rhett, Solomon, Isaac, Cross, Pearl, Sebastion, Quinton, Tyron, Pryce, Jeremy, Ethan, Izabella, Camryn, Rylee, Kingston, Nolan and Talan; brother of Trudy Zimo and Richard (Barbara) Bryndal; brother-in-law of Carole Bryndal; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
Edward was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph; parents, Edward C. and Anna C. (nee Thresher) Bryndal; brother, Jerry Bryndal; and brother-in-law Bob Zimo.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
