Obituary for Joyce L. Novak (Monroe)
Funeral Service for Joyce L. Novak (nee Monroe), 80, of Mentor will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.
Joyce passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born March 12, 1936 in Cleveland, she was a Lake County resident for 59 years, living in Wickliffe prior to moving to Mentor in 1968.
She enjoyed swimming and traveling.
Joyce was the beloved wife of 63 years to Bruno J. Novak; loving mother of Karen J. Novak and Bruce A. (Joanne Morgan) Novak; cherished grandmother of Kristeen J. Novak and Steven R. (Megan) Niro; great grandmother of Arabella Jackson and Abbygail Jackson; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Lynn Niro; parents, William Monroe and Johanna (Richard) Selfridge; and sister, Gloria Renkel.
The family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
The family suggests donations in her name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland OH 44110.
