Obituary for Ruth V Yager
Funeral services for Ruth V. (nee Hackundy) Yager, 93, of Euclid, will be 12 noon Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Pastor Rob Henderson will officiate.
Mrs. Yager passed away Aug. 18, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Macedonia.
Born Oct. 1, 1922, in Ashtabula, she had been a resident of Cuyahoga County for the past 70 years.
Ruth was a longtime member of Shore Haven Lutheran Church and Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
She was the loving mother of Sue Ann (Richard) Taylor of Mentor-on-the-Lake, James (Debby) Yager of California and Anne Yager (Tim Kibler) of Macedonia; grandmother of five; and great-grandmother of six.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alex Yager; parents, Arthur and Hilda Susan (nee Naskali) Hackundy; and sister, Eleanor Hubbard.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Knollwood Cemetery in Mayfield Heights.
