Obituary for Helen Marie Barak
Funeral Mass for Helen Marie (nee Bokovitz) Barak, 80, of New Salem, Pa., will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8540 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Fr. Tom Elsasser will officiate.
Mrs. Barak passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, at Heather Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chardon.
She was born Dec. 3, 1936, in Luzerne Township, Pa.
Helen was the beloved wife of 59 years to Charles E. Barak; loving mother of Ronald C. (Debra) Barak and Cindy A. (David) Karr; cherished grandmother of Michael and Jessica; sister of Anthony Bokovitz of Perry; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Rose (nee Wilczynski) Bokovitz; and sister, Virginia Reynolds.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
