Obituary for Irene Lambo

Funeral services for Irene Lambo, 94, of Willoughby Hills, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mrs. Lambo passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Heartland of Mentor.
Born July 31, 1922, in Uniontown, Pa., she had been a resident of Lake County for 63 years, living in Eastlake before moving to Willoughby Hills.
Irene liked to play bingo, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care given to their mother at Governor’s Pointe.
She was the loving mother of Samuel B. (Melba) Lambo, Alfred L. (Carol) Lambo, Cassandra M. (Ronald) Egbert, Richard A. (Mary Jo) Lambo and Michael M. (Nancy) Lambo; cherished grandmother of Brian Lambo, Paul Lambo, Kimberly (Brandon) Fry, Stephen (Laura) Lambo, Wendy Lambo (Darren Yesser), Brett Lambo (Brooke Daniels), Robert (Nancy) Sonday, Kenneth Egbert, Matthew Lambo, Jacquelyn Lambo and Sandra Lambo; great-grandmother of Coleman, Dexter, Charlotte, Miranda, Griffin, Josephine, Madison and Austin; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel L. Lambo; parents, Fred and Anna (nee Wiesnieski) Jeshor; and siblings, Violet Shaw, Martha Mazur and Fred Jeshor.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at The Abbey of Willoughby. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
