Obituary for André "Andy" Lamarre

André "Andy" Lamarre
Celebration of Life services for André “Andy” Lamarre, 74, of Richmond Heights, will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby.
Mr. Lamarre passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Cleveland Metropolitan Hospital.
Born Oct. 28, 1942, in Lachine, Canada, he had lived in Eastlake before moving to Cuyahoga County 45 years ago, living in Richmond Heights.
André was always the jokester. He loved “busting balls," with his large repertoire of jokes to which he remembered every word. He also loved the Cleveland Browns, camping, hunting, fishing and technology, tinkered in woodworking, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and was the best co-ed softball coach anyone could have asked for. André was also very proud of his 18 years of sobriety.
He was the beloved husband of Joan M. (nee Hublinger) Lamarre; loving father of Lisa A. (Kevin) Lamarre-Staggs of Euclid, Shelly M. (Brian) Lamarre-McCarthy of Euclid, and Dayna T. (Billy) Gallik of Geneva; and cherished grandfather of Christopher, Drake, Chase, Brian and Amy.
André was preceded in death by his parents, Domina and Aldea (nee Duquette) Lamarre.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in care of the family.
