Ailene M. (nee Strosnider) Meintel, 76, formerly of Eastlake, passed away April 2, 2017, shedding the cloak that covered her soul and setting her free.
She was born Oct. 10, 1940, in Dilliner, Pa.

Reed, Danielle G. (Antonio) Zamora and Michael (Erica) Meintel; great-grandmother of Toby James Buchanan and McKenna Reed; sister of Nancy Hanford, Gladys “Tucky” Paris, Linda Goble, Louie Strosnider, and Renee Bates; and an aunt and great-aunt of many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Luther and Amelia Lucille (nee Everly) Strosnider; sister, Sharon Keener; and brothers, Bill and Ernie.
A private family viewing and services were held at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt, Tenn.
Contributions are suggested in her name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
