Obituary for Bernice Yeary
Celebration of Life services for Bernice (Gobble) Yeary, 88, of Mentor, will be held 12 noon Wednesday, at Chester Christian Center, 11815 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Mrs. Yeary passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born Jan. 5, 1929, in Jonesville, Va., she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 66 years.
Bernice was a member of the Chester Christian Center.
She was the loving mother of Shirley R. (Harold) Potter, Judy G. Yeary, Perry W. Yeary, Danny O. Yeary, and Troy L. Yeary; cherished grandmother of Tina, Deana, Amy, Nicole and Travis; great-grandmother of Kyle, Savannah, Hannah, Miranda, Deonica, Christina, Mya, Mikel, Mia, Arianna and Trent; great-grandmother of Evalina; sister-in-law of Barbara and Lois Gay Gobble; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Bernice was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. Yeary; parents, William and Hazel (nee Blankenship) Gobble; and siblings, Fern Yeary (Pastor James B, dec.), Bernard Gobble, Pryor Gobble, Harold Gobble and Glenn Gobble.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the Chester Christian Center. Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Chester Christian Center.
