Obituary for Ross R Hirst

Funeral Mass for Ross R. Hirst, 65, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor.
Mr. Hirst passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017, at his residence.
Born Feb. 19, 1952, in Euclid, he had been a lifelong Lake County resident, living in Mentor-on-the-Lake before moving to Mentor 30 years ago.
Mr. Hirst was employed as a supervisor of grounds for Mentor Public Schools for 10 years. He had also worked in the roofing business for many years.
Ross enjoyed fishing, restoring classic bicycles, and taking care of his rose garden and classic cars. He was also a Cleveland sports fan.
He was the beloved husband of Rhonda (nee Krug) Hirst; loving father of Dustin Hirst; brother-in-law of L. William (Deborah) Krug, Timothy (Diane) Krug, Darlene Krug and Donna (William) Conley; and uncle of Tyson (Andrea) Hirst, Jacob (Mona) Hirst and Joshua Krug.
Ross was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hirst in 1973; mother, Patsy Wachcic in 2013; and brother, Paul Hirst in 2016.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Entombment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
The family would like to extend their sincerest thanks to the staffs of Bella Care Hospice and Kirtland Rehab and Care for the devotion and care shown to Ross during this difficult time.
