Funeral Mass for Michael G. Malaney, 63, of Mentor on the Lake,will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd., Mentor. Father Peter Morris will officiate at the Mass.
Michael passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at his residence.
Born April 24, 1954 in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 26 years living in Mentor on the Lake.
Mike loved boating, sports car racing and golf. He was a member of the Racing Association S. C. C. A.
Mike was the beloved husband of 35 years to Debra J. (nee Lowe) Malaney; loving father of Katelyn (Mike Luptak) Malaney, Lindsey (Kara Mitchell) Malaney and Jessica (Nick Parisi) Malaney; brother of
Susan (Walter) Swick, James (Kim) Malaney and Brian (Thomas Allemang) Malaney; brother-in-law of Gayla Malaney and Raymond Newnes; loving brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Marion R. (nee Palley) Malaney; brothers, John Malaney, Patrick Malaney, Daniel Malaney; sisters, Sheila Newnes and Nancy Hawley.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2) Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
His family was so important to him. Mike was a strong, supportive and loving husband and father.
