Obituary for Carmen R Stray
Carmen R. (nee Ortiz) Stray, 46, of Mentor, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Born Aug. 30, 1971, in Willoughby, she had been a lifetime resident of Lake County, living in Kirtland before moving to Mentor.
Carmen enjoyed baking and “Carmen’s Confections.”
She was the beloved wife of 29 years to Dennis R. Stray; loving mother of Dennis R. “D.J.” Stray Jr., David H. Stray, Matthew T. Stray, and Isabela Rosajoy Stray; cherished grandmother of Owen, Ethen and Carmina; sister of Juan L. Ortiz and Kayla Marie (David) Tuttle; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Carmen was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Napper.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a celebration of life at 5:30 p.m.
