William G  Cidor
William G. Cidor, 81, of Willoughby, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at his residence.
Born March 15, 1937, in Barnesboro, Pa., he had been a resident of Lake County for the past 53 years.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving as a Staff Sgt. Chief Radar Technician on B-Bombers. William loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed gardening.
Mr. Cidor was a steelworker for 34 years and a member of United Steel Workers of America. He was also a small engine instructor and was a neighborhood “Mr. Fix-It.”
William was the beloved husband of 56 years to Mary Ann (nee Linsky) Cidor; loving father of William G. (Carol) Cidor Jr., Ronald G. (Heather) Cidor, Laura A. (Chuck) Hegedus, and Andrea B. Bernstein (Kevin Otto); cherished grandfather of Leaha, Andrew, Megan, Richard, William, Allison, Charles and Karl; great-grandfather of Ava, Alana and Ariana; brother of Robert (Beverly) Cidor, Daniel (Wanda) Cidor, and Mark (Mary) Cidor; brother-in-law of Laurene Cidor; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew; parents, Louis and Thelma (nee Phillips) Cidor; and siblings, Barbara Patterson and David Cidor.
Family will receive friends from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, with a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
The family suggests donations in his name to Grace Hospice, 7314 Industrial Park, Mentor, OH 44060, or Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby, OH 44094.
